Basic Function of the Job:

Prepare laps, handwork optics from ground to greening, finishing optics to specified requirements. Be competent at reading engineering notes, testing and evaluating quality of material run samples, coating witness samples and some standard optics.

Job Requirements:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Strong math background.

Experience: 0-2 years' experience in optics related field.

Shift: Afternoon/Night/Weekends

Working Conditions: Working with chemicals, cleaning solvents, toxic and hazardous materials.

Special Skills:

  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient at using measuring equipment, i.e. optical comparator, micrometers, uniscope, ETV gauge, autocollimator, Zygo interferometer, CT gauge, laser and cross polarizer
  • Good concentration skills, visual demand 50%

Job Element:

  • Fabricate standard optics  95%
  • Health & Safety  5%
